Definition - Beauty

Dictionary Definition - 'a combination of qualitites, such as shape colour or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially sight' or 'a beautiful or pleasing thing or person'. 

Words to Describe - Alluring, beautified, bonny, deluxe, natural, cosmetic, glossy, matte, ineffable, mesmeric, radiant. 

This image is showing the natural beauty of a model. She has minimalistic/ no makeup on and she is sitting in a natural position, without having to pose too much. This captures the element of beauty well as it is showing that not every image showing 'beauty' has to be of made up models in studio settings. 

This is more of a commercial beauty image used in magazines to advertise certain make-up styles and different make-up products. This artist has used a bold selection of colour as the bright pink eye makeup is eye-catching and there is a range of different shades of pink in the image. 

My Definition - Beauty is a concept developed mainly through society, it can represent physical beauty of models etc and natural beauty of nature etc.
