This photograph was taken of an eye shadow palette, i decided to shoot this image at an angle, in order to capture some depth to the palette. I wanted for only a few single of the eye shadows at the front of the palette to be in focus. I feel by doing this is helps to show the range of colours in the palette. If i was to re take some of these images i would have placed the palette onto a white background in order to make the colours stand out more, or i would change the colours of the eye shadows in the palette in order to create a brighter, bolder and more defined contrast between the colours that are available.
This image is showing a row of lipsticks, which are all from the Topshop makeup brand. I chose to shoot this image from this angle as i wanted to capture the different colours of the lipstick base. I placed them in colour order going from light pinks, to bright pinks to red. If i was to re-take this image i would turn all of the lipsticks so that the name of each colour is horizontal in order to make the image look more collected and suitable for use in an advertising campaign. I enjoyed doing this shoot as i liked the different ways in which i was able to display the different products, if i was to redo this image i would take the products into a studio setting in order to have proper use of lighting instead of the natural light let in through a window. In my next shoot i will be doing a close up of a models face in order to capture the different aspects of beauty. I want to capture the nature beauty of the models eye aswell as other made up areas such as the lips etc.
