Mid Project Evaluation

So far i have taken 3 of my personal shoots; one of a step by step makeup application of a model which i have edited into a multiple image as well as making an animation of the images, a pop art makeup shoot inspired by Alexander Khoklov and a studio shoot of lipsticks. I feel that out of these 3 shoots that the pop art shoot was the most successful as the main image i decided i wanted to take through to my final series, came out extremely well, due to a mixture of pre-shoot makeup and post production editing. I enhanced all of the colours of makeup and altered the colour of my hair from blonde too green to further add to the pop art look.

I would like to focus on both model and cosmetic shoots in the future. I would like to also show an appreciation for beauty through a model shoot in which i try to capture her personality and natural beauty. 

I have enjoyed this topic as makeup and beauty is a topic which i enjoy exploring outside of photography. I have enjoyed looking at both beauty shown through models and through cosmetics. I would like to further explore both of these in my upcoming shoots. 

I found it fairly easy to research into the topic of beauty as it is a widely popular concept for photographers to focus their work on, and so i did not struggle when finding the 20 photographers for my research log.
