Work Diary- Personal Shoot 7

In this shoot i took several different perfume bottles and placed them onto a reflective service with a white backdrop. This was so i could capture a slight reflection from the perfume bottles.
This image is showing two images and i have placed one bottle slightly in front of the other. This was in order to gain some depth to the image as only the front image would be in focus and so that is the only perfume bottle which will be clear in order to display the brand well. I chose to use two bottles which were both of similar colours a pink and a red. I feel that a good contrast is shown due to the densisty of the colours of the bottles as the red is opaque where as the pink bottle is slightly transparent.

This image is of a perfume bottle, but unlike most normal perfume bottles, instead of a lid there is a doll. The colours of the dolls are always bold and bright, however i felt the need to further enhance the saturation levels of the colours as the purple and red. I did this to make the contrast between colours bolder as they are both very contrasting colours.

This is the lighting set up which was used. The perfume bottles were placed onto a table and the lights were positioned to the same level of the table. The camera was also on a studio camera stand in order for me to keep the camera steady and level as i took the photographs.

If i was to re-do this shoot i would have experimented with the use of coloured gels over the lights, in order to create a coloured ambience in order to further enhance the soft tone of the photograph.
